Flite Fest is an amazing experience! It’s a family friendly atmosphere with a strong community of aviation enthusiasts that range from beginners that are just getting into the sport all the way to those that have been flying for years. It’s the perfect place for beginning pilots – everyone is super helpful and supportive. My son found the Flite Test community six years ago and he has learned so much! We make our annual trek to Ohio each summer and we can’t wait to experience our fifth Flite Fest!!

I am blessed to have this great community that has accepted me with open arms. Not for what I may or may not have but for me. My family grew closer with memorable moments that will last for a lifetime not only at Flite Fests, but Flite Test in general. I can not wait to see what the future may become.

I first went to Flite Fest in 2016 and I’ve been to every one in Ohio since, as well as Flite Fest West 2017 in California. Each year improves on the one before. The Flite Test team builds on momentum year over year, learning from the things that went well as well as those that didn’t, making the next year more successful than the last. There have been STEM focused projects, group builds, awesome demonstrations and exhibitions - both RC and even full-scale! Every year has offered something different, but they all have been awesome. You can camp in tents or come in an RV or trailer, or stay at a number of nearby hotels…

In 2017, my 12 year old begged me to attend a random RC festival in the middle of nowhere. Somewhat doubtful, I finally gave in. Within 24 hours, I was completely sold. Noah was befriended by volunteers, staff, and other attendees. They taught him to build and to fly. They loaned him tools and shared their knowledge. Every time he stepped onto the flight line, someone offered to help him fly. One volunteer sat with him for 3 hours and helped him build a Simple Cub. Since then, we've returned each year as volunteers, because we wanted to help all attendees have the same fabulous experience we had. Noah can hardly wait to establish a spot in the build tent with his friends, and plan out his combat strategy this July. We look forward to renewing friendships and making new ones. This is more than just a festival, it's a gathering of family that you didn't know you had.
